Announcement: Vault Pro VP2440 Launch
We’re excited to introduce the Vault Pro VP2440, our first fanless 4-port Vault to feature 10GbE SFP+ ports.
Building on the success of the VP2400 Series which include 4x RJ45 ethernet ports, the VP2440 takes performance further with a combination of 2x 10GbE SFP+ ports and 2x 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, delivering a major leap in network speed and flexibility. This was achieved by removing the internal SATA drive expansion and one USB-C Port, allowing for a more powerful networking-focused design while maintaining a silent, compact form factor for demanding deployments.
The Vault Pro VP2440 Features:
- Intel® N150 quad-core CPU (6MB Cache, up to 3.6GHz)
- 2x Intel® X710-BM2 10GbE SFP+ ports
- 2x Intel® I226-V 2.5GbE RJ45 ports
- Up to 64GB SO-DIMM DDR5-4800 RAM*
- Integrated 32GB eMMC storage
- 3x M.2 slots for optional NVMe SSDs, WiFi 6E cards, and LTE/4G/5G modems
- 1x RS232 header for optional integrations
- coreboot firmware available now
*Intel® Specsheets claim the N150 CPU officially supports up to 16GB of RAM, but we’ve successfully tested and qualified multiple modules up to 64GB. Please reference the VP2440 Hardware Overview linked below for the specific qualified modules or select one as a pre-installed option.
Designed around Intel’s new N150 Quad-Core CPU, the VP2440 delivers reliable performance for everything from firewalls and routing to home labs and professional applications.
The VP2440 features a fanless, all-aluminum chassis that doubles as a passive heatsink, efficiently drawing heat from the CPU. Integrated heatsinks further manage thermal loads from internal components and SFP+ ports. Together, this design delivers silent, reliable performance and long-term durability, even in demanding environments.
The VP2440, alongside the recently launched VP2430, delivers a substantial performance upgrade over its predecessor, the VP2420. It scores 46.6% higher on PassMark, supports faster DDR5 RAM with up to 50% more bandwidth, and delivers nearly double the VPN speeds: ~101% faster on OpenVPN and ~80% faster on WireGuard, over the VP2420.
